One of the coolest things about going to blog conferences like SNAP is getting to try out brand new products like DohVinci. These custom picture frames I made with DohVinci were so easy to make even the kids can do it!
March is National Craft Month, so it only makes sense that I should share one of my new favorite crafting tools right? I’d menat to tell you all about DohVinci at the beginning of the month but life and vacations happen and here is it March 31st and just getting around to it. Better late than never right? And it’s not like DohVinci is any less awesome on April 1st than it is on March 31st.
So, let me introduce you to Hasbro’s DohVinci. When people ask me about it, I tell them it’s kind of like what would happen if Play-Doh and a hot glue gun had a baby. It’s perfect for craft lovers, art lovers, and kids who love using Play-Doh.
I was given the chance to try out the DohVinci Color Mixer Kit, which is basically what it sounds like. A kit that comes with everything you need to mix colors for even more design and art options. It’s as simple as putting the colors into the mixer, choosing the colors you want to mix, and mixing! I just mixed my color combination together in a random fashion but you could also do stripes, half and half, and other endless possibilities of mixing.
Once your colors are all mixed up, you just put the little tube of DohVinci into the gun (remember the glue gun + Play-Doh baby??) and press to design whatever you want. And my favorite part is that because it’s similar to Play-Doh, if you screw up the design you can just wipe it right off. But if you want to keep it, you can just let it dry out and have a permanently decorated picture frame like me.
