Dream big, princess.
Three simple words yet their impact on my heart is much bigger than just three words. From the first time I saw this video during the Disney live event a couple of months ago to just moments ago when I watched it, it’s given me chills and brought me close to tears.
I’d want her to believe in herself.
And to know that she can, no matter how hard or impossible things seem.
I’d want her to be fearless, determined, and bold.
I’d want her to see the world from the air and from the land.
And I’d want her dreams to have no bounds.
I’d want everything imaginable for my daughter. Just like I want all of that for my son.
And just like I should want all of those things for myself.
Somehow, somewhere, I lost sight of my dreams. How can I encourage my children to dream if I’m not dreaming myself?

So it’s time to dream big. Really big. Princess big.
I want to experience a whole new world like Jasmine.
And jump from a cliff like Pocahontas.
I want to sing a song that touches someone’s heart like Aurora.
And dance without fear that someone will judge me, even if it’s for just one night like Cinderella.
I want to want something so badly that I’ll make a huge sacrifice to achieve it like Ariel.
And go on an adventure without thinking twice like Anna.
I want to love someone because of their flaws, not in spite of them like Belle.
And I want to look in a mirror and see myself as the fairest one of all like Snow White.
I want to escape from the things that are holding me back like Rapunzel.
And break all the rules and expectations like Merida.
I want to be build a life around the things that really matter like Tiana.
And be a champion of love like Elsa.
And most of all, I want to do whatever I can to make my family proud like Mulan.
Dream big, princess. And everyone else, because a life without dreams isn’t a life at all. Or at least not a life I want for me and my family.

What is your biggest dream?
I was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and as part of the celebration I received discounted tickets and other perks. None of those things made any difference to me writing this post, all ideas are 100% honest and my own!
