This baked Boursin® tomato dip is an easy appetizer and perfect served with hot homemade pita chips! It makes a great appetizer for any holiday party!
Thanks to Boursin® for sponsoring this post. While the post is sponsored, I really do LOVE this Boursin tomato dip and everything else I say is honest and my own opinion!
When my husband and I first got married, we were both in school and couldn’t always go home to see family for the holidays. Since we couldn’t go home and celebrate with family, we went out for a fancy dinner instead. For a newlywed couple in college, going out for a fancy dinner was a big deal. We went all out and ordered a full three courses – appetizers, entrees, and dessert.
The appetizer we ordered is still to this day one of my favorites – a baked tomato Boursin® dip with homemade pita chips. The hot creamy dip mixed with the crisp salty pita chips was just delicious. The next time we had a dinner party with our friends we tried making our new favorite appetizer at home. It was as big of a hit with our friends as it was the first time we had it.
And since then, it’s become a staple on our holiday party table along with all sorts of other dips like the Boursin® Monterey Jack & Spicy Pepper Cheese dip. You can find both the Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese and the Monterey Jack & Spicy Pepper Cheese dip at your local Walmart in the Walmart deli bunker.
Baked Boursin® Tomato Dip Recipe
The best thing about the baked Boursin® dip is that it’s seriously the easiest appetizer ever. Pour your tomato sauce into a dish, mix it up with some Italian seasonings, and put the Boursin® directly in the middle of the dish. Bake for about 25 minutes until the Boursin has sufficiently melted and everything is hot. Serve alongside the cold Boursin® Monterey Jack & Spicy Pepper Cheese Dip and either with store-bought pita chips or with homemade ones using my tips below, and you’ve got a delicious appetizer spread that’s perfect for any holiday food table.

Homemade Pita Chips
To make the homemade pita chips I simply brushed some olive oil on store-bought pitas, sprinkled with pink Himalayan salt, cut into triangles with a pizza cutter, and broiled in the oven for less than 2 minutes. They’re perfect for dipping in either Boursin® dip!
- 1 Store-bought pita
- Olive oil
- Pink Himalayan salt (or you can use whatever salt you prefer)
- Turn your oven to broil.
- Brush both sides of your pita with olive oil, making sure all places on the pita are lightly coated.
- Sprinkle salt on your pita.
- Cut pita into eight triangles with a pizza cutter.
- Split each triangle into two, front and back of the pita. Place each triangle on a baking sheet.
- Put baking sheet into oven and broil for 1-2 minutes on high until crispy, making sure to watch closely because anything on broil can go from cold to burnt quickly.
