One of my favorite things about the summer is lazy mornings. We don’t have to rush to get ready for school, rush to make it to a soccer game, or rush to really do anything.
This summer we’ve been trying out a number of new local breakfast places and this past week I tried out the brand new breakfast menu at our local Hy-Vee with my brothers!
It was a great way to start my day – good food and good company!
I wasn’t the only one; the Hy-Vee Market Grille was filled with people enjoying a leisurely breakfast, doing their morning crossword puzzles, and catching up with good friends and family!
If you haven’t tried Hy-Vee’s new breakfast menu yet, here are six reasons you should soon! Watch the video below as well to see our experience!
1 – Hy-Vee’s Robust Breakfast Menu
As I mentioned before the new breakfast menu is huge. There’s something for pretty much everyone whether you’re looking for a savory breakfast skillet or something more sweet like pancakes and waffles.
Want something a bit on the healthier side? Order one of their signature omelets or create your own. You can even add on things like avocado!
They also have a great looking kids menu that we’ll for sure be trying out with the kids next time we visit! They have both breakfast and lunch options for the kids in case your kids would rather eat a grilled cheese than pancakes!
2 – Unique Menu Items
Not only is the menu large and diverse, there are plenty of unique options as well. I tried the berry bliss stuffed French toast and can’t wait to go back and try out their apple pie pancakes – I mean apple pie anything is delicious!
You can see their full breakfast menu here.
3 – Hy-Vee breakfast Cocktail Menu & Upgraded Drinks
Select Hy-Vee locations also have a breakfast cocktail menu with every variation of mimosa you could ever think of!
If you’re not a cocktail drinker, like me, there’s fresh-squeezed orange juice available as well. We all ordered a glass, and it was the perfect complement to our meal!
I even ordered some to take home to my family – it was that good! Pretty sure I’ll be grabbing a take home glass every time I visit Hy-Vee during breakfast hours in the future!
4 – Fresh and High-Quality Ingredients
One of the perks of getting breakfast at a restaurant inside a grocery store is getting the freshest ingredients possible!
The new Hy-Vee breakfast uses only fresh and high-quality ingredients, just like they sell in their store. I definitely tasted the quality in the fresh items like the berries on my stuffed French toast and in the mushrooms added to my husband’s omelet!
5 – Made to Order Meals
The other thing I love is that all of the meals are made to order. This isn’t a grab and go buffet of pre-made food – it’s a meal made from scratch just for you.
That means not only is your food hot and fresh, it’s easily customizable if you want to add something, take something away, or have an allergy and need something made without say onions (like me!).
6 – It’s Convenient
I’ve shared my love for Hy-Vee numerous times on my blog. It’s where I picked up the things for my 4th of July party, where I grabbed items for my Mother’s Day baskets, and even where I ordered catering for our Super Bowl party!
I’m pretty much always there.
I love being able to grab an actual sit down breakfast while I’m out and about shopping for who knows what. Or grabbing food to go – order before you shop and take it to go when you’re done!
It’s just one less stop I have to make to get errands finished and who can’t use one less thing to do and one less place to go these days. And with breakfast being served from 6AM to 2PM every day, it’s available for a good portion of the times you’re probably shopping anyway!
Have you tried Hy-Vee’s breakfast menu yet??
