Disclosure: Munchkin was one of the awesome sponsors for our online baby shower giveaway in January. In return for their sponsorship, I am sharing my favorite Munchkin products but don’t worry I really do love them and use them all on a regular basis!
It’s been way too long since my last baby update. I still can’t believe that K will be 11 months old next week and come April 2, I’ll have a 1-year-old. I’m of course already planning his first birthday party and pretty excited about it. Along with my baby update, I’m also sharing some of my favorite products that we use on a regular basis, or my must-haves for 9-12 month olds.
Doing: Right now K is all over the place. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you might have seen his walking video. He walks more and more every day and I expect that he’ll be a full-fledged walker before his birthday in April. He’s very vocal (and social) and says mom all the time. But even though he says mom, he really loves it when dad is home and plays with him. There is just something different about the ways moms and dads play. He especially loved playing knock over the snowman with dad in the big snowstorm we had last week.
Eating: Blueberries and fruit of all kinds. I said it on Twitter the other day but we have to hold the fruit off until the end of the meal (kind of like dessert) because once he sees the fruit, he won’t eat anything else. If there isn’t fruit on his plate, he loves meat just like his dad and will eat anything pureed from a pouch. He also really enjoys grilled cheese, bagels, and Red Lobster biscuits. The one thing I’m surprised he really doesn’t like at all is any kind of pasta. I mean really, who doesn’t like mac and cheese? Apparently my baby.
Loving: Bath time, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Baby Einstein Puppets (YouTube Video), eating anything that’s small enough to fit in his mouth, his binky, walking, and getting into everything.
Growing: Our 4-month old who wasn’t even on the weight or height charts is growing like a weed. At his 9-month check-up, he was in the 90th percentile for weight (22 lbs) and 65th percentile for height. He’s a very strong boy and my arms get tired from carrying him all day. Okay fine, a few minutes. He’s wearing mostly 12 month clothes right now but I have a feeling he’ll be in 18 months sooner than later. And he has at least 10 teeth (including two molars) and loves chewing on anything he can get to reach those back molars.
Using: Now that K is older, eating real food, and taking real baths, we’ve started using a number of things on a daily basis that I highly recommend. I love how smart products from the Munchkin brand are. They think of everything from including a pocket of their disposable bibs to including a nipple cleaner that attaches to the bottle brush, genius. This is why these Munchkin products are definitely on my must-have list for this age.
