Ever since I made my milk bottles from Starbucks bottles a couple of weeks ago I’ve been a little obsessed with finding creative ways to use them for upcoming parties. Inspired by One Artsy Mama’s Upcycled Bottles, I decided to make Halloween bottles of my own. So if you’re looking for a creative way to serve drinks at your Halloween party this year or just want a quick Halloween craft idea, look no further. These Spooktacular Halloween drink bottles are a great way to spruce up your Halloween drink table.
Once I got started, I just couldn’t stop and ended up with an entire family of Halloween bottles.
Spooktacular Halloween Drink Bottle Tutorial
- Red, Black, and white cardstock (or if printing, only white cardstock)
- Googly eyes – 4 small and one large
- Pipe cleaners – 3 black, 1 purple, and 1 gold/yellow
- Large green/yellow pom pom
- Hot Glue (or your favorite way of gluing things to glass)
- White Fabric
- Food coloring
- Drinks of your choice
Step 1 – Gather your supplies.
Ste 2 – Cut (or print out) your shapes. I used my Silhouette on the default cardstock settings but you can just print and cut them out by hand or with an exacto knife.
I created the Silhouette cut file by finding free clip art on the internet, tracing, and creating the images.
Luckily I’ve already done the work for you and you can use this free cut file to save time. Or if you’d rather print out the images, I’ve created a printable version for you as well. (These designs are for personal use only and should not be used for commercial purposes).
Step 3 – Choose which bottles you’d like to create and start gluing on faces, arms, and eyes to make your own Halloween bottle family. For the mummy, tear the white fabric in a long strip and wrap around a bottle going around the googly eyes.
Step 4 – Fill with drinks of your choice. You can either do a light colored drink (e.g., lemonade, water) and add food coloring or use colored drinks like orange soda, milk, Coke, etc.Food Network has a great chart to help you get the exact color you want using food coloring.
I love how the mummy turned out and decided he’d join my milk bottle candy corn on my mantle. Which one is your favorite?
