Before I get to my RunDisney outfit ideas for a Thor workout themed race, I want to tell you about something even cooler. I think I may have agreed to do the Thor 10K mostly because I’m jealous that I’m too old to participate in this challenge. I love the focus on strong, smart, and creative young women, and I seriously can’t wait to see what the winner comes up with!
Superpower of STEM Challenge
From now until September 23rd, 2017, girls ages 15-18 in grades 10-12 can channel their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) superpowers to create a DIY project that can be recreated by others. Five finalists will be selected to present their projects to a panel of experts AND get to attend the red carpet premiere of Marvel Studios’ THOR:RAGNAROK (see why I’m jealous!). One grand prize winner will win an immersive three-day mentorship in NYC with Disney Imagineering, the opportunity to present their project briefly on Good Morning America, and more.
Watch the video below from Cate Blanchett then head to the official website for official rules, prizes, and other details for the Superpower of STEM challenge!

Thor Workout & RunDisney Outfits
One of my good friends convinced me that I really need to run the Disneyland Avengers 10K in November. And when she told me that it was Thor themed, I was in. I’m definitely Team Thor all the way. My favorite part about RunDisney is the chance to dress up without looking like a crazy person. My sister and I did the regular Walt Disney World half marathon back in 2011 and running in a tutu throughout the park might be one of my favorite races ever.
Since RunDisney is all about running in costume, I put together some inspiration for a Thor themed running outfit. And I need you help – leave a comment and tell me first off, how excited you’d be if you (or your daughter) won the STEM contest and second, what I should wear for the Thor 10K in November. I’ll put together my outfit based on what the majority of people liked the most! And since I have no idea what the temp will be in November, I grabbed some tanks, tees, and even an awesome sweatshirt as options!
