Frosted Peppermint Sugar Cookies

These delicious peppermint sugar cookies are soft, fluffy and easy to make!

Ingredients

– cake flour – baking powder – baking soda – salt – granulated sugar – unsalted butter (room temperature) – vegetable shortening – sour cream * all ingredients listed below!

Combine the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

Cream together the butter, sugar, shortening, and sour cream.

Add the egg, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Add in the flour mixture.

Place dough balls on prepared baking sheet. Press down lightly on the cookies with a glass.

Bake for 10 – 13 minutes. Then frost once they are cooled!

Sprinkle tops with crushed peppermints, coarse sugar, and chocolate curls.
