Easy Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter , melted
  • 3 large ripe bananas , mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


  • Mix all of your ingredients other than the chocolate chips and walnuts in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  • Add in chocolate chips and walnuts and stir until mixed in evenly.
  • Bake in greased muffin tins or with paper baking cups for 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees.


You can also make these muffins with applesauce instead of butter to cut some of the calories but it also changes the flavor and texture as well.
