This vampire kiss drink combines Dr. Pepper with black cherry flavoring for a rich and delicious Halloween drink that’s good enough for adults but still drinkable for teens! It’s the perfect option when you want a Halloween punch but not something sweet geared more toward kids!

Vampire Kiss Mocktail

I’m a big fan of fun drinks. I’m also a big fan of Dr. Pepper. And this drink is my take on a Halloween mocktail that uses Dr. Pepper as a base.

I don’t recommend this drink for kids, but it should be totally fine for anyone who drinks Dr. Pepper or caffeine regularly – and well better than fine because it’s actually delicious.

I love the dark coloring and rich flavor – it made me think of vampires, hence the name vampire kiss! The combo of the black cherry flavoring and sweet Dr. Pepper flavor is such an odd combination, but it works so well together!

You just have to try it!

Why you’ll love this

  • Adult Friendly Punch – most punches (like this jack-o-lantern pumpkin punch) are designed for kids but not this one. It’s actually designed for teens and adults in flavor and ingredients!
  • Easy – all the ingredients literally just get poured into a pitcher together, it couldn’t be easier!
  • Festive Halloween color – the dark coloring of this works so well for pretty much any Halloween party theme!

Ingredient Notes

  1. Frozen lemonade – you want a can of frozen lemonade concentrate straight – don’t dilute it!
  2. Dr. Pepper – I’ve only ever tried this with the full sugar Dr. Pepper so that’s how I recommend it!
  3. Black Cherry Kool-Aid – make sure you’re getting black cherry Kool-Aid, not cherry. You’ll just need the powder – don’t make the Kool-Aid!
  4. Sugar – you just need standard white sugar, just like if you were making Kool-Aid.
  5. Water – you’ll want to make sure the water is cold!

How to make This Vampire Kiss Drink

One of the best parts of this drink is that it’s literally so easy to make! You just dissolve the Kool-Aid, add the ingredients, and mix!

1 – Make the Kool-Aid

The first thing you’re going to do is make the black cherry Kool-Aid by combining the Kool-Aid powder, sugar, and cold water together in a large pitcher or small punch bowl (total it’ll end up being about 12 cups of liquid for planning your pitcher size).

Stir it all together until the Kool-Aid and sugar have been completely dissolved into the water.

2 – Add the other ingredients

Once the Kool-Aid is done, add the Dr. Pepper and frozen lemonade concentrate to the pitcher and stir it all together.

3 – Chill

The cold water + frozen lemonade will chill the drink if you want to serve it immediately but if not, you can put it in the fridge to chill until you’re ready to serve!

4 – Garnish and serve

When you’re ready to serve, pour the drink in individual glasses and serve with vampire teeth, straws, or even smudges of vampire blood on the outside!

Kepe any leftovers you don’t drink in a covered pitcher in the fridge for up to a week! The Dr. Pepper will get a little flat but the flavor is still amazing a few days later – I drank mine all week long!

Tips for Making this Vampire Kiss Drink

Don’t add ice to the pitcher if you want to store it for later. It will dilute the flavor – instead pour over ice in individual cups so you can store any leftovers!

Don’t make this ahead of time. If you want to speed up the process, you could make the Kool-Aid portion, but I don’t recommend adding the Dr. Pepper and lemonade until right before serving!

Stick with the frozen lemonade concentrate instead of actual lemonade. The frozen lemonade concentrate not only chills the drink quite a bit, it also has a lot more concentrated flavor than normal homemade lemonade – plus it doesn’t add that much liquid to the drink, just flavor.
