A couple of weeks ago I shared some ideas for easy Thanksgiving place settings on Sugar Bee Crafts. In case you missed it then, I’m sharing all of the details and ideas here today.
I’m one of those people who likes to mix and match when it comes to place settings and tablescapes. I know having everything the exact same is probably the right way to do it, but I like mine to be more festive and fun than matchy-matchy. And having everything match can get really expensive for holidays like Thanksgiving where you’re probably feeding a billion people!
For this Thanksgiving tablescape, the first thing I did was to pull out my fall and Thanksgiving decorations to decide on a cohesive element to tie all of my decorations together. For me, that cohesive element (in addition to a fall color scheme) is the gold glitter. I had some leftover placemats and gold dipped glitter jars from my chocolate party earlier this year, and I knew they would be perfect to ground the design all together.
For the place settings, I pulled out my electronic cutting machine and made simple little thanks tags to put around my napkin silverware bundles and a matching name card to go at each place setting.
And then I just started putting different elements together to create different place settings. Some have the name card on the plate, some in the cup with filler balls, and others with a filler ball on the placemat. Some have the metallic pumpkins with the place setting, others don’t, etc. Just have fun with it to make a festive Thanksgiving tablescape that you love.
