This printable your body is a temple handout is perfect for a Come Follow Me lesson, primary lesson, or even church lesson for adults.
Each week I teach the 12-13 year old young women in my church congregation using one of the lessons from the Come Follow Me program. Last week’s lesson was all about treating your body like a temple with the things we eat, things we do with our bodies (exercise, activities, etc.), things we listen to, and things we do to our bodies (tattoos, piercings, etc.). It was a great lesson to study and think about as I’ve been participating in the 60 day challenge that’s all about forming good habits and treating our bodies, minds, and spirits well. And being kind to our bodies.
For each of my lessons, I like to give the girls a handout and quote that they can take home to remind them of the things they learned during the lesson. In the past I’ve done things like journals, bags of candy, and most recently chocolate covered pretzels with a quote about choices. For the lesson on treating our bodies like a temple I knew I wanted to stay away from sugar and unhealthy snacks and was pretty stumped because no one wants to get a handout with carrot sticks. So instead, I gave them these healthyish KIND bars with a fun little printable reminding them to be kind to their bodies.
