Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip

One of the most popular party dishes for any party is a veggie tray and veggie dip. I’ve had a fruit dip for a long time and knew it was time to make a complimenting veggie dip to go with all those fresh veggies!

It’s amazing how many hours go into perfecting a dip that only takes minutes to make. Finding just the right balance of richness to cut through the yogurt and sour cream was surprisingly difficult. Not to mention having to find the right balance between the spices, adding enough flavor without leaving you with stuff in your teeth after every bite.

Lucky for you, I tested and retested this recipe until it was just right so that you get to enjoy it without having to worry about those things. Instead, you get to make a fantastic dip in just a few minutes and spend the rest of the time enjoying the people you are sharing it with.

Why People Love This veggie dip

  • Homemade with minimal effort – personalize your veggie tray with this creamy dip that will impress and only take you two minutes.
  • Make ahead – this stores perfectly in the fridge so you can have it on hand anytime you need an afternoon snack or have an impromptu playdate.
  • Different flavor – this dill dip is a nice change from the typical ranch flavor that is served with every veggie tray.

Ingredients in a Veggie Dip With Greek Yogurt

Ingredient Notes + Substitutions

  • Greek yogurt – make sure to use plain Greek yogurt because using flavored Greek yogurt or non-Greek yogurt will impact the tanginess of the dip and throw off the balance.
  • Mayonnaise – I know some people feel strongly about mayo, but there is no getting around it in this recipe. You need it to cut through the sharp flavors from the yogurt and sour cream, just like in our spinach artichoke dip. For a milder flavor, use a mayonnaise one with an avocado oil base or make your own.

How to make Yogurt Veggie Dip

One of the best things about this dip is that it can all be made in one bowl, saving you time on doing unnecessary dishes.

Grab a bowl, combine all of your ingredients, and stir until smooth and well-blended. That’s it – it’s literally that easy to have a delicious dip for all of your veggies or even the ridged potato chips!

If you’re not serving this right away, store it in the fridge covered until you’re ready to serve! Then serve it with your favorite veggies!

Let the flavors sit!

This dip only gets better with time. I recommend making it ahead of time and allowing it to sit in the fridge for at least an hour to give the seasonings time to be absorbed.

How to Store Greek yogurt veggie dip

To make the dip last the longest, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge. I also recommend not dipping directly into the container, this will make it last longer.

A good rule of thumb is that the dip will last about a week, but it will only last as long as the ingredients in it, so make sure to check that they are fresh before adding them in.

Tips & Tricks

Make an entire batch then just serve a small bowl with the veggie tray instead of all of it. Then refill the dip as you go – that way if people don’t eat it all, you can keep the leftovers for later!

Make a full batch and divide it into these little dip containers to enjoy with veggies in lunches and snacks all week long!
