These free printable leprechaun hunt cards make the the perfect St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt ideas for both kids and adults!
My husband is part Irish, so we like to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a big way at our house. Last year we threw a fun St. Patrick’s Day party with three awesome St. Patrick’s Day party games that are prefect for adults!
This year now that my little boy is older, I thought it would be fun to put together a little leprechaun scavenger hunt for him and his friends to go on since who doesn’t love great scavenger hunt ideas? All you have to do for the leprechaun hunt is make sure that the things on the list are around your house in fairly obvious places (or outside if it’s not freezing like it is here). The majority of the things on the list you probably have in your house anyway and the others (four-leaf clover, etc.) can easily be printed out or picked up just for the party. Set things up around your house, give the kids their hunt sheet, and let them be off. Once they’ve found all of the items on their leprechaun hunt card, give them a special treat like these pot of gold cupcakes.
This hunt can also work really well for adults. It’s played pretty much the same way with just two differences – don’t hide obvious things around the house, make them find them or be creative and come up with them (like a picture of a four-leaf clover on their phone). And second, print out of the sheets for everyone and make it a competitive individual race to find everything rather than a group effort like the kids’ hunt. Make sure to tell them they CANNOT use the scavenger hunt paper itself as any of the answers because as my husband pointed out, pretty much everything on the list is somewhere on the hunt card. Oh and of course make the prize worthy of an adult who beat out all of the other leprechaun hunters – a bag of chocolate gold coins, some awesome striped socks, a bag full of 100 “gold coins” (aka pennies), etc.

While you could print on regular printer paper, I recommend printing on cardstock to give the leprechaun hunt cards a little weight to them. Once you print them out, just cut down the middle, and hand off to your big or little hunters.
