Spring is here, and that means it’s time to get out of hibernation mode and be social. Don’t worry, these spring party ideas make it easy to throw a get-together so you can spend more time remembering how to be social, and less time on prep.
I’ve put together a huge collection of fun spring themes you can use for parties this spring but don’t forget, this is your party. Figure out what works best for you, mix and match, and let these posts inspire you as you plan your perfect spring soiree.

There’s just something about celebrating outdoors in the spring that makes everything feel a little more magical. With warmer weather and longer days, it’s the perfect time to take the party outside with these fun party themes.

You don’t need a green thumb to enjoy a garden party, especially if these dirt cookies are served. Anything garden-related will work for this, like painting flower pots, planting flowers, or having a meal in or near a garden.

Kentucky Derby (first saturday in May)
A Kentucky Derby party is the perfect excuse to dress up, eat something sweet, hello butter cake, and celebrate spring in style! Think big hats, fresh florals, and simple snacks paired with a fun race-day vibe that feels both festive and effortless.

Star Wars Party (May 4th)
With May the Fourth right in the middle of spring, A Star Wars themed party is an out-of-this-galaxy way to bring a little adventure to your spring celebration! Add in a few easy Star Wars games, some of these May the Fourth activities, and perfectly themed food for an unforgettable galactic celebration that the whole family will enjoy.

Cindo De Mayo Party (May 5th)
Spring is full of reasons to celebrate, but few as fun as Cinco De Mayo on May 5th. The bright festive colors combined with delicious Mexican desserts are more than reason enough to celebrate. More Spring Themes
Check out this website and throw a party themed around one of the national days. Some of my favorite spring themes that would work great for a party are:
- April 1st – April’s Fools Day! There’s so much you could do with this to turn it into a celebration!
- April 3rd – World Party Day. Is there any better reason to host a party??
- April 6th – Have a pajama party (even if it’s just with your own kids) to celebrate National Pajama Day!
- April 8th – celebrate International Day of Pink with a pink Barbie party or really just use all of the pink ideas you would for a Barbie party!
- April 11th – Celebrate your pet with a little pet party for National Pet Day!
- April 13th – Host a game night (with our favorite group board games) to celebrate National Scrabble Day!
- April 21st – Invite friends over for a craft night or have a little painting art party to celebrate World Creativity Day!
- April 28th – Grab some of your favorite people and host a superhero movie marathon or play some of these superhero party games to celebrate National Superhero Day!
- May 10th – celebrate National Ocean’s Day with an ocean themed or under the sea themed party! You could serve up mermaid punch, shark attack drinks, and more!
- May 15th – Have a chocolate chip party to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day! Have everyone bring over something with chocolate chips other than chocolate chip cookies and vote on favorites!
- May 15th – National Pizza Party day means that everyone is having pizza for dinner! You could also just make your own pizzas together as the party. If you do that, this pizza dough is perfect for it!
- May 17th – World Baking Day is the perfect excuse to have people over to make treats together, like a cookie swap during the holidays but instead share different baked goods like blueberry muffins and pineapple bread.
- May 21st – If you need an excuse for a spring party, International Tea Day is a perfect one!
