Make your own family summer bucket list of all of the fun iconic summer things like eating popsicles on a hot day, having a water balloon fight, and making s’mores over a campfire!
This summer has already been crazy and is about to become even more so. Today starts basically six weeks of straight travel for my family. It starts with my trip to NYC today for Blogger Bash and ends August 20th in Texas. We’re doing a couple of things that are summery like a short Disney cruise and heading to the beach for a few days but otherwise, it’s just a lot of family time and celebrations.
I kind of feel like we’re missing the summer boat this year, or at least we would but I got this brilliant idea to make a summer bucket list full of awesome bucket list ideas. A list of all of the things we want to do this summer, things that we can do during our trip.
Because everyone should get the chance to have fun and enjoy the summer. Even if your mom is a travel addict.
We kicked off our summer this weekend with a family popsicle park night. We have a little park in our complex and you’d better believe I was the popular mom with both the kids and moms when I walked over with that iconic yellow box of Popsicles®, with enough to share with my son’s friends. Popsicle® has been bringing the fun since 1905 and definitely brought the fun to our park night.
Even better that they happened to be the brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ones, pretty sure the kids were even excited about the purple popsicles. A Donny popsicle is so much cooler than a grape one.
After the park, we sat down as a family and came up with our list of iconic summer things that deserve a spot on our bucket list. If you want to do this, let me give you a word of advice. Go play with your family first. A family that plays together comes up with much better, much more fun ideas.
And we came up with some fun ones.
Pretty sure we already covered a handful of these during our popsicle park party last night like laughing out loud, watching a sunset, and catching fireflies… but those are all things I don’t mind doing again and again. Especially if I’m doing it with a Popsicle®, America’s favorite ice pop, in hand.
Have you tried any of the new 2016 Popsicle® flavors yet? Head to your local grocery store to pick up one of the three new varieties – Popsicle® Tropical Paradise (mango, strawberry-banana, island punch, and pineapple), Popsicle® Sugar Free Red Classics (cherry, raspberry, strawberry) Popsicle® Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (orange fury, cherry crush, blue raspberry blast, and smashing grape). Then follow along with Popsicle® on Facebook, and Twitter.
